Welcome to Florence! Our Tour Director will meet you at the airport and help you transfer to the hotel by car. Briefing with our Tour Guide regarding the program, followed by a walking tour of the most famous and most unknown corners of the city, as illustrated in the last pages of Dan Brown's bestseller, Inferno. Enjoy our unique escapade, following the footsteps of Langdon, on a guided tour of the Arno River, the Uffizi Gallery, the Bargello Palace, San Firenze Square, the beautiful residence of Eleonora di Toledo and the Pitti Palace, which is immersed in the magnificent Boboli Gardens, recently recognized as one of Unesco World Heritage site. Be immersed in the places described by the writer Dan Brown, namely, the Fountains of Neptune, the bathtub of the Baths of Caracalla, originally from Rome, the cave commissioned by Francis I and the mysterious Vasari Corridor – used to travel from the Pitti Palace to Palazzo Vecchio -- a ploy of the Medici family to avoid the crowd of commoners. At the Palazzo Vecchio, our expert guide will unveil mysteries that cannot be seen at a first glance. From the Salone dei Cinquecento-- the greatest chamber ever built in Italy to manage power—and the laboratory for alchemical experiments, you will enter the Hall of Geographical Maps where Langdon’s secret passage is hidden. Dinner in a typical Tuscan restaurant with genuine and traditional dishes such as the classic grilled Chianina beef. Overnight at the hotel.
Breakfast at the hotel, followed by a walking tour of the Uffizi Gallery to see the priceless and prestigious masterpieces from great artists such as, Giotto, Paolo Uccello, Masaccio and Piero della Francesca. Your tour guide, an art history expert, will give you such accurate descriptions that you’ll be enchanted while admiring the works of Botticelli. Brunch at the Gran Caffè Rivoire, with its stunning architecture, overlooking the Piazza della Signoria and Palazzo Vecchio. Back in the footsteps of Dan Brown, the exploration continues this time at Giotto's Bell Tower and the Cathedral , with its original facade adorned in polychrome marbles, followed by the Baptistery, with its heavy bronze “Gate of Paradise,” where Dante Alighieri was baptized. Like Langdon, you’ll end your visit admiring the Brunelleschi’s Dome and its frescoes of the Last Judgment. Overnight at the hotel.
Breakfast at the hotel. A visit to the Medici Villas, recently recognized as one of Unesco Heritage site. Then you will go (by car) on an exclusive tour of the panoramic Villa La Petreria .
