ANCONA, SEASIDE TOWN. We will arrive and meet our Tour Leader who will take us through Ancona, the ancient Ankòn, funded by the Greek upon an elbow shaped hill on the largest natural port of the Adriatic sea. We will visit spectacular places by looking out to the beaches, admiring the squares and noble palaces on the hillside roads, leading to the Romanesque cathedral of San Ciriaco, the Cittadella, the old Lighthouse, the Traiano Arch and the Lazzaretto on the port’s quay. We will have lunch in a restaurant and eat fish and seafood specialties. After dedicating the afternoon to discoveries and walks on the beach, we will have dinner and spend the night at the hotel.
THE CONERO, SEASIDE SCENERIES AND SECRET BAYS. After breakfast we will go on an excursion to the beaches of the Conero and we will enter into a true natural paradise. By boat we will reach white sandy beaches within extraordinary bays. We will dive in crystal clear water waiting for the birds to get to Seagull Bay at sunset. Those who are more experienced will be able to dive with the diving center’s instructors to explore the remains of a ship on a 15meter seabed. In the evening we will enjoy a bare feet aperitif and an Italian style sushi dinner. Overnight stay in hotel.
PESARO, FOLLOWING THE FOOTSTEPS OF ROSSINI AND RAFFAELLO. After breakfast, together with our guide we will visit the City of Music, Pesaro, now in the running to become UNESCO heritage. We will follow an itinerary on the footsteps of Rossini, visiting his native home where we can still find the piano on which he learnt the art of music. We will then go on to reach Palazzo Olivieri that hosts the music Conservatory and the Theater that takes its name from the great composer. We will have dinner in a restaurant and leave for Urbino, the ideal city. Here, the refined Federico of Montefeltro built his Duke’s Palace in the middle of the XV century and Raffaello began his genius renaissance works of art. We will go through the sceneries that inspired his artistic passion, between the rare architectural treasures of the Dome and the Duke’s closet. Dinner and overnight stay at hotel.
PORTO RECANATI, LEOPARDI'S SCENARIES. After breakfast we will go on an excursion to Porto Recanati to go deep into Leopardi’s surroundings. We will find ourselves between Silvia’s home and the Square of the Sabato del Villaggio, where Leopardi’s Palace guards the library of the poet. We will visit the Swabian castle of Federico II and the Municipal Art Gallery. Lunch will take place at a restaurant in the old fishermen borough and the afternoon will be free.
